The Grand Arena at the Accra International Conference Center was the place to be on Saturday, May 6th, 2023, as the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) celebrated its 24th edition in style.
The night was filled with music, glamour, and excitement as top musicians from Ghana and Nigeria took to the stage to entertain thousands of fans.
One of the highlights of the night was the massive turnout of music lovers who came out in droves to witness the event.
The LED screens and spacious stage provided a perfect setting for the performers to showcase their talents.
The MCs for the night, Berla Mundi, Naa Ashorkor, and James Gardner, did an excellent job of keeping the audience engaged and entertained throughout the night.
The event kicked off with an amazing performance by Piesie Esther, followed by a live performance from Kidi, who performed three tracks to the delight of the fans. DSL, the Unsung Artiste of the Year, was presented with his citation on stage before delivering an outstanding performance.
Epixode took to the stage to rendition Osibisa’s “Welcome Home” track, followed by Lasmid, whose performance was deemed subpar by the fans.
Gyakie, King Promise, Kwabena Kwabena, Medikal, and Ofori Amponsah also delivered electrifying performances that left fans begging for more.
The night ended on a high note with a special guest appearance from Nigerian act Pheelz, who left the fans wanting more.
The VGMA 24th edition was an unforgettable night of music, glitz, and glamour, showcasing the best of African music. We can’t wait to see what next year’s event has in store!
