The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr
Johnson Asiedu Nketia, is testifying in the petition challenging the
declaration of President John Dramani Mahama as the winner of the 2012
presidential election at the Supreme Court.
“General Mosquito” mounted the witness box and chose to swear an oath
using the Bible.
He announced that he has power of attorney signed by H.E John Mahama
which makes him witness for the first respondent, President Mahama.
He further explains that the president was elected by the NDC for the
2012 presidential elections.
He was sponsored by the party.
As general secretary he has been with the president through all
meetings in the run-up to the elections, hence he testifies for the
President.
