Ghanaian Actor Asare Bediako Honored!

Multitasking Ghanaian movie maker, Asare Bediako, has been honored in the third  (3rd) edition of The Ghana Arts and Entertainment Awards (TGAEA), held on Saturday 24th September, 2021 at the Miklin Hotel, Accra.

The Kumasi based actor cum director, was honored for his unflinching commitment and hard work towards the film industry, and inspiring young to follow his path to greatness.

Accepting the award, Asare Bediako took to his Facebook timeline to express his profound gratitude;

“My Selfless Contribution to the Creative Arts industry… My Years of Hard Work and Commitment to the Craft has inspired Young Entertainers to follow my path towards Greatness… Thanks for this Honour bestowed on me…#TGAEA”

With over two and half decades in the Ghanaian movie space, the actor cum director has been starred and directed over two hundred and fifty and one hundred and sixty feature films respectively and more than twenty tv series.

Some successful movies he’s starred in, include; Time, Remember Your Mother, Lost Hope, Jewels 2, Asem, Dabi Dabi, Opportunity, Kae Dabi.
Directed movies; Asem Asa, Asabea, Mmbrowa, Lost Desire, Aden, War of Roses, Akranteɛ Nkwan, Boys Abrɛ, Sure Banker, Teacher Ibu, Abusua Bone, Game of Chess, amongst others.
TV Series Directed; Day Break, Mama Taxi Season 3, Daben, Ebewiaseɛ, Whims of Life.

Asare Bediako also holds the record of being the first Ghanaian movie director from the Ashanti Region to have directed a Ghanaian-Nigerian collaboration that featured Kana O Kana O, Osita Iheme (Pawpaw) and Mr. Ibu.
