History: Kidi & Black Sherif Win Big At The 3Music Awards 22

Ghanaian Afrobeat singer has been crowned the Artiste of the Year in the 3Music Awards 22 that took place in the Grand Arena, Accra.

With 6 awards; Artiste of the Year, Reggae/Dancehall Song of the Year [Touch It], Male Vocal Performer, Digital Act of the Year, Album of the Year [Golden Boy], and Afrobeat/Afro-Pop Artiste of the Year, the Lynx Entertainment signee, Kidi, becomes the first artiste to win the coveted award twice in a roll.

The Konongo Zongo-based new entrant, Black Sherif, also won four awards on the night with his viral song Second Sermon;  Song of the Year, Hip-Life/Hip-Hop Act of the Year,  Hip-Hop Song of the Year, and Breakthrough Act of the Year.

Despite the late start and sound hitches, the colorful event and undoubtedly Ghana’s most anticipated music celebration night saw great performances from; Black Sherif, S3fa, Mona Gucci, Kuami Eugene, Joe Mettle, Ohemaa Mercy, Akwaboah, Kidi, Kelvyn Boy, Cena Soul, Camidoh, and others.
