Up-and-coming Ghanaian actress Ella Mensah has said no to going nude in any movie.
However, she does not mind showing off vital parts of her sexy body in what she described as future seductive roles.
“No, I can’t play nude because I want to feel comfortable doing that and I feel it’s not right.
But I don’t mind showing a little bit of my body, depending on the  role I  am playing…let’s say if I have to seduce a man, it means I have to wear short dresses to show off my thighs and shape or a revealing top, stuff like that,” she said in an exclusive interview with NEWS-ONE.

Interestingly, the first movie role that launched her career was the kind that can be categorized as nudity.
She played a prostitute in ‘Crime To Christ’, starring Africa’s best actor, Majid Michel and a host of others.
She has since not looked back. She has featured in a number of top movies including ‘Playboy’, ‘Pretty Queen’, ‘Her Excellency’, ‘Bed of Rose’, ‘Deadline’
and ‘Shakira’.
Below is an excerpt of an interview she had with NEWS-ONE:
 NEWS-ONE: So who is Ella?
Ella: Ella is simply a lady who has so much to offer. I come from a family of 13. I am the third born and 25 years old. I have a diploma in journalism and media studies and I love acting.
NEWS-ONE: How long have you been in showbiz?
Ella: It all started in 2008 when I accompanied a friend to an audition. I ended up being in with just a scene as a prostitute! That was ‘Crime to Christ’.
From there, I had another role in a new movie ‘Playboy’ and that one I had six scenes as a secretary. I shot other movies then I travelled out of the country. I started acting again in 2011 and so far so good.
NEWS-ONE: How many movies have you done so far?
Ella: Those that are out are about 10. Some are not out yet.
I did ‘Playboy’, ‘Pretty queen’, ‘Her Excellency’, ‘Bed of Roses’, ‘Deadline’, ‘Shakira’ and some others.
NEWS-ONE: Considering what people say about prostitutes, what went into accepting your first role as a prostitute?
Ella: I saw the role as a challenge and didn’t mind playing it since I was just acting.
NEWS-ONE: And what was the feedback?
Ella: They were shocked, but also understood that it was just a role, and it didn’t change who I am.
NEWS-ONE: But how challenging was the role?
Ella: It wasn’t really a big challenge, because we were about seven ladies playing the same role. The tension was okay and the director also told us what to do, so I guess it was okay.
NEWS-ONE: How has that role contributed to your career today?
Ella: It has really helped me a lot. I am more comfortable with the camera now and I can play certain roles comfortably
NEWS-ONE: What kind of roles do you mean?
Ella: Seductive roles
NEWS-ONE: Can you play nude?
Ella: No
NEWS-ONE: Why?
Ella: Because I want to feel comfortable doing that and I feel it’s not right. But I don’t mind showing a little bit of my body.
NEWS-ONE: Which part?
Ella: Depending on the role I  am playing…let’s say if I have to seduce a man, it means I have to wear short dresses to show off my thighs and shape or a revealing top; stuff like that.
NEWS-ONE: Generally, what do you think about playing nude?
Ella: I think they are not appropriate roles and we shouldn’t encourage them! They are not good for our society.
Children nowadays watch everything on TV and listen to the radio as well…so I believe we shouldn’t encourage it but rather put a permanent stop to it
NEWS-ONE: Where do you come from?
Ella: I come from Begoro in the Eastern Region. My parents are Christians and so am I. I grew up in an average family. I didn’t have all the luxury that I wanted but I was so loved by my family.
NEWS-ONE: Are you married?
Ella: No
NEWS-ONE: Education background.
Ella: Richard Memorial Junior High, Nifa Senior High, Trans African College
