Ghanaian musician, S3fa, has announced that she is no longer affiliated with Black Avenue Muzik, a record label owned by Hip-hop/Afrobeats artiste and entrepreneur, D-Black.
The artiste made this revelation during an interview on Accra 100.5 FM on Thursday, October 24, 2024.
S3fa, who is credited with songs such as Fever, E Choke, Shuga and Player, disclosed that the decision to leave the label came after the end of her contract with the music imprint.
She explained that while her time with Black Avenue Muzik spanned several years, there had been challenges and misunderstandings on the business front, which contributed to her eventual exit.

“First of all, my contract ended. You know I have always said that when you are working with people or people that you consider a family, it’s always a roller coaster, things happen, a lot of things come in, so you know there have been some business misunderstandings and all that,” S3fa stated during the interview.
The singer was signed to D-Black’s record label about seven years ago, where she carved out a niche for herself in the Afrobeats and Afropop scenes.
Her time at Black Avenue Muzik helped her rise to prominence, gaining recognition with a string of successful tracks that resonated with both local and international audiences.
S3fa’s career took off with songs like E Choke, which became a viral hit. Under D-Black’s mentorship and the Black Avenue Muzik platform, she managed to maintain a consistent presence, releasing popular tracks and collaborating with top artistes including Ghana’s top rapper Sarkodie on her song Fever and Ivorian Legend Fred Meiway.
