Michael Essien Loses 1M+ Followers On Instagram & Twitter After Public Support To LGBTQIA+ Community

Former Ghana Black Stars and Chelsea “midfield dynamo” Michael Essien has landed himself in heavy backlash after publicly thriwing his support yo the LGBT group in Ghana.
Netizens have roasted him and also attracted a drastic decrease of followers on his Instagram and Twitter accounts even though the ex-Chelsea star has pulled down his “unguarded post”
Essien shared on his Instagram account how much he and Ghanaians support the LGBTQI+ community.

However, following his open support for the LGBTQI+ community, he lost a reasonable number of followers on his Instagram, over 500,000, and people have assumed that is the reason why he decided to delete the post.
It looks like Essien could not stand not just losing his fans but equally could not stand the hate comments as well.
The same-sex debate has come up strongly in recent times.
