Asante Europe Association Donates Laptops to Ashanti Region School

The Asante Europe Association has donated laptops to 10 basic and second-cycle schools in the Ashanti Region to support education in Ghana.

The presentation, was done by the chairperson, Nana Emprengwo Asipim (Bohyenhemaa), at Madam Adwoa Serwaah Kyei’s private residence in Atasomanso, Kumasi, and aims at bridging the digital divide and equip students with essential technology skills.

Beneficiary schools included; Asonomaso RC JHS, PKS M/A JHS, Konongo Odumasi SHS, Mansoman SHS, Adugyama SHS, Konadu Yiadom SHS, Ejura-Tia DA JHS, Dwamena Akenten SHS, Aboabo DA JHS, and St. Joseph SHS.

Madam Adwoa Serwaah Kyei, the association’s 2nd Vice President, emphasized the importance of technology in education, saying,

Providing access to technology opens doors to endless opportunities for students.

Dr. Kwaku Baah, headteacher of Konongo Odumasi SHS, expressed gratitude, noting the laptops will enhance ICT teaching and learning.

Other notable members present included, Abusuapanin John Boakye, Nana Ama Serwaah (Cologne Hemaa), and Nana Abena Takyiwaa Agyemang Prempeh (Vice President).

Led by Abusuapanin John Boakye, the Asante Europe Association continues to support development in Ghana, focusing on education, healthcare, culture and youth empowerment.
