The stars turned out in their numbers at the inaugural ceremony for President John Mahama on Monday. Several known faces including Radio Presenters, Movie Stars, Broadcasters, among others were present. Most of the familiar faces from the entertainment industry present were those who openly endorsed President Mahama during the campaign period including; Okay FM’s Abeiku Santana, Sports Presenter Yaw Ampofo Ankrah, actresses Kalsoume Sinare, Vivian Achor, Selassie Ibrahim, Vicky Zugah and Pascaline Edwards. Other celebrities present were Nana Ama McBrown, Juliet Ibrahim, Dzifa Gomashie, Akofa Edjeani Asiedu, Irene Opare, Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD), and Actor Eddie Nartey among others.

Clearly, the New Patriotic Party’s boycott extended to the celebrities who endorsed the party as faces like Mark Okraku Mantey, Kwabena Kwabena, Daddy Lumba, Socrates Sarfo, Fredyma, actresses Vivian Jill, Mercy Asiedu, and Auntie B, Katawere, Adane Best and others were conspicuously missing. A delegation from Nollywood led by ‘bad boy’ actor Jim Iyke was also present to grace the occasion.
