The GFA Is Not For My Family – Nyantakyi #GhanaFAOfficial

Written by on July 2, 2014

The President of the Ghana football Association, Mr Kwesi Nyantakyi, has said that the GFA position he is currently occupying does not belong to his family.

He has therefore asked all those who want to occupy that position to wait for their turn.
He said this in a GFA post-world cup press conference held in Accra Wednesday.

Mr Nyantakyi, who was reacting to a statement by a journalist that “some people want to see the FA president out”, said even though some Ghanaians want him out; there are many more Ghanaians who want him to stay.

“Much as some Ghanaians want to see my back, there are many more Ghanaians who want to see my front,” he noted.

Stressing that there were many people who appreciated his work, Mr Nyantakyi said the fact that some people did not like him was not enough to condemn him perpetually.

He, however, added that he was amenable to opposing views on his leadership.
“I will be there as long as I am allowed to be there by the congress. And when the time comes I will leave, he  said.
